Board Positions Available:

Literary Chair
· Endeavors to bring higher awareness and enjoyment
of literary arts to our community by seeking out talented,
engaging writers and poets to visit Zion Canyon
· Plans activities such as public readings, workshops
and
master classes related to the Writer’s particular talents
· Facilitates all logistics and public relations in
a timely
fashion, in concert with the Hospitality and Public Relations
Coordinators, for these events
· Plans, proposes and dispenses the Literary Arts budget
· Works with the Springdale libraries to purchase books
for the permanent collections |

Workshop Coordinator
· Seek out a variety of workshop instructors from within
and outside the Zion Canyon community
· Schedule workshops throughout the year, with emphasis
in off-season
· Assemble, publish and distribute a bi-annual workshop
calendar, with course descriptions and registration
info
· Reserve rooms, coordinate logistics with instructors,
and arrange pertinent event details
· Plans, proposes and dispenses the Workshop budget |

Secretary
· Take notes at monthly board meetings
· Type and distribute minutes to board members; file
minutes appropriately
· Write occasional thank-you notes
· Compile data from events for reporting purposes
· Pick up mail and distribute to appropriate parties
