“Big Dreams Little Tokyo”

This film offers easy laughs. Filmed and previewed in Salt Lake City in the summer of ’06, it is the story of Boyd, an American who speaks fluent Japanese and aspires to succeed in Japanese business. We see a chronicle of frustrations. His roommate Jerome, a Japanese American, meanwhile feels too American to be Japanese and too Japanese to be American. He aspires to be a sumo wrestler. Together they struggle to find a place in the world where cultural identity is seldom what is seems.

“For the Bible Tells Me So”

A highly acclaimed film premiered at Sundance in January, 2007 and nominated for their Grand Jury Prize, followed by The Audience Award for Best Documentary at Seattle’s International Film Festival. Through the experiences of five very normal, very Christian, very American Families—including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopalian Bishop Gene Robinson—we discover how insightful people of faith handle the realization of having a gay child. Respected voices of a Bishop, a Rabbi and a Reverend are added. This film offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.
