To Springdale Community and Z-Arts Members:

(The post-Thanksgiving) weekend saw the return of the Zion Canyon Arts & Crafts Fair after a five-year hiatus and by all accounts; artisans, volunteers, area businesses, attendees, the fair committee and Z-Arts, it was an overwhelming success.

Over 1210 residents and visitors attended, more than $6000 was raised for Z-Arts, over 40 volunteers shared their time and energy, 25 artisans sold amazing high-level arts and crafts, 36 home bakers produced an outstanding array of treats and 32 local businesses supported the event with silent auction and gift card donations.

While these numbers are important, they don’t capture the very best part of the event; the outstanding sense of community and positive energy that was generated. Friends, families, young and old, longtime residents, those new to Springdale, and visitors all contributed to the warmth and success of this community event. I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who stepped up to make this happen. From committee members (special shout out to rockstars Jan Passek and Jenny Reitzel!) to volunteers, bakers, businesses, artisans and attendees- each of you played an integral role in the success of this event and I am incredibly grateful and appreciative.

Finally, I must acknowledge Lila Moss; one of Z-Arts original founders who created the spark that lit the fire that resulted in this little bit of magic for Springdale. Lila, none of this would have happened without you.

Thank you all!
