This two-day workshop will cover the basics that I teach all new students in my ongoing weekly class. It’s not just for beginners, although it will cover everything a beginner needs to get started. Even those who have oil painted for years can benefit from the hands-on exercises and experimentation that is presented and encouraged.
On Day One we’ll cover an easy no-fail intuitive color mixing method, a system for creating form from shapes by understanding values, design and composition and expressive brushwork and palette knife painting.
